Founder - Melissa Delaney
Professionally
A native of Orange County, California, Melissa began her career over 21 years ago at the iconic Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara. While still in college, she gained hands-on experience in the luxury events space—managing both front- and back-of-house logistics for elite weddings, celebrity parties, galas, press events, and high-end corporate weekends. One of her greatest strengths has always been her ability to put VIPs at ease, ensuring a seamless flow and exceptional attention to detail.
After completing her undergraduate degree at UC Irvine, Melissa returned to Southern California and began freelancing with several premier event planning firms in Los Angeles. Her work with renowned teams such as Colin Cowie Lifestyles, Caravents, and Sterling Social placed her on-site at hundreds of events—from Grammy parties and celebrity birthdays to product launches, legal retreats, and even the opening weekend of the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. She truly has seen (and managed) it all.
Melissa’s career naturally evolved into legal marketing, where she collaborates with attorneys and marketing professionals to enhance firm visibility and elevate individual and practice area branding. Her work includes developing websites, digital content, social media strategies, newsletters, brochures, and other client-facing communications. Drawing on her Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology, she specializes in creating cross-functional strategies that foster collaboration within law firms.
Still a passionate event planner at heart, Melissa continues to design and execute corporate events that align with marketing goals, ranging from intimate in-house trainings to large-scale retreats, national conferences, and local industry events.
Personally
In 2021, Melissa and her husband made the intentional decision to "live where they vacation," relocating—alongside dog pack—to beautiful Big Bear Lake, California. Though just a short drive from their roots in Orange County, their mountaintop lifestyle has shaped their personal and professional values. Inspired by the natural surroundings, they prioritize sourcing high-quality, eco-conscious products and supporting like-minded, sustainable brands—choices they share with friends, family, and clients alike.
“While I am a Four Seasons, room service girl at heart - there is nothing better than a road trip with my hubby and 3 dogs in our travel trailer exploring new cultures, towns, and people. I am constantly inspired by where we are traveling while simultaneously discovering new design inspirations everywhere we go.” - Melissa
